The first time I made this, my family was skeptical about putting pickles on pizza. One bite later, everyone wanted seconds and it's now requested every pizza night!

Ingredients

  • Dough: 1 pound (450 g) pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
  • Sauce: 1/2 cup (120 ml) pizza sauce or ranch dressing
  • Cheese: 2 cups (200 g) shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup (50 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 2 tablespoons (15 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Toppings: 1/2 cup (80 g) dill pickle slices, patted dry, 2 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced (remove seeds for less heat), 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • Finishing: 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (optional), Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
Prepare Dough:
On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a 12-inch (30 cm) round. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel.
Add Sauce & Cheese:
Brush the dough lightly with olive oil. Spread pizza sauce or ranch evenly, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the sauce.
Add Toppings:
Arrange dill pickle slices, jalapeño slices, and red onion evenly on top. Finish with grated Parmesan.
Bake:
Transfer to the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
Finish & Serve:
Remove from oven. Sprinkle with fresh dill and crushed red pepper flakes, if using. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
