Ingredients
- Fruit: 16 large green grapes, 16 large red grapes, 16 blueberries, 8 large strawberries hulled, 1 banana sliced into 8 thick rounds, 1 kiwi peeled and sliced into 8 thick rounds
- Decoration & Track: 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (for eyes), 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (optional for sticking eyes), 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs (use gluten-free cookies if needed)
- Assembly: 8 wooden skewers
Instructions
- Step 1:
- Wash and dry all fruit thoroughly.
- Step 2:
- Thread fruit onto each skewer in desired order to create a caterpillar shape (e.g. start with a strawberry or banana round as the head, followed by grapes, kiwi, and blueberries as the body).
- Step 3:
- To make eyes, dab a small amount of honey or maple syrup onto the head fruit and stick on two mini chocolate chips.
- Step 4:
- Arrange the chocolate cookie crumbs on a serving tray in a winding path to resemble a track.
- Step 5:
- Place the finished caterpillar skewers along the track for a fun presentation.
- Step 6:
- Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve (consume within a few hours for best freshness).
